A set of ten cytokines (IL-1β, IL-1ra, IL-2, IL- 6, IL-8, G-CSF, GM-CSF, IFN-γ, TNF-α) and two chemokines (CCL4/MIP1beta, CCL5/RANTES), known to be secreted by endometrial tumours, were measured in endometrial cancer organoids and six cytokines (IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, IFN-γ, TNF-α), commonly secreted in response to inflammatory stimuli, were selected for benign organoids, which were left unstimulated or treated with LPS to mimic chronic inflammation that predisposes to endometrial carcinogenesis. This evidence concerns the gene CSF3 and endometrium neoplasm.
