Interestingly, even considering the inherent heterogenicity between patient samples, the top three candidates from the p53-enhanced-response population (ASH2L, MEPCE and METTL2B), showed a clustered positive Pearson correlation with p53 alteration score, indicating that the higher the expression of these genes in the tumour, the more altered the p53 response. This evidence concerns the gene MEPCE and neoplasm.
