Significant inverse associations were observed between sCD163 and marine-derived PUFAs (DPA: β = −11.4%, 95% CI [−15.5, −7.04], P < .001, EPA: β = −3.26%, 95% CI [−6.18, −.253], DHA: β = −6.37%, 95% CI [−11.2, −1.29], both P < .05) after adjustment for follow-up, smoking, baseline age, sex, familial history of diabetes, and physical activity. This evidence concerns the gene CD163 and diabetes mellitus.
