This approach revealed a significantly higher overlap with cryptic splicing genes for FTLD-TDP when compared to FTLD-tau atrophy-correlated genes (Supplementary Fig. 9, P < 0.05), suggesting that the differential overlap between FTLD-TDP and FTLD-tau atrophy-correlated genes with cryptic splicing genes is not merely a reflection of gene list length.
