MMP9 and neoplasm: In the near future, we plan to expand the research towards anti-metastatic and anti-migratory assessment and the impact of IsoP on key signaling pathways related to growth, survival, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) markers (such as vimentin, fibronectin, N-cadherin, MMP-2, and MMP-9 important in the initiation of tumor metastasis) to better understand the biological potential of this promising natural compound, and these investigations are in progress.
