ACHE and early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease: IsoP acts as an acetylcholine esterase (AChE) inhibitor and an amyloid β (Aβ) aggregation inhibitor (AChE- and self-induced), inhibiting the AChE enzyme with IC50 = 41 μM and AChE-induced and self-induced Aβ aggregation with IC50 > 500 and 125 μM, respectively [27], which makes this compound interesting in the context of Alzheimer’s disease therapy.
