Indeed, scutellarein not only reduced the levels of IL-6 and CCL2 in the BALF of LPS-induced ALI mice (Figure 7A,B) but also significantly decreased the level of TNF-α (Figure 7C), another essential pro-inflammatory cytokine that could not be suppressed by scutellarein in LPS-stimulated BEAS-2B cells.
