MCL1 and ovarian carcinoma: Mcl-1 inhibits apoptosis by heterodimerizing with pro-apoptotic Bcl-2 members via its BH3 domain and is upregulated in several cancers, including lung [2,3], breast [4,5], colon [6,7], ovarian carcinoma [8], and gastric [9,10] cancer, mediating resistance to apoptosis induced by conventional chemotherapy and targeted therapy [3,20].
