Figure 5 shows that serum galectin-3 levels were significantly elevated in patients with invasive ductal carcinoma with a p-value < 0.0001. There was no significant correlation found between histology and mean serum galectin-1 or -9 levels with p-values of 0.6799 and 0.8192, respectively. This evidence concerns the gene LGALS1 and invasive ductal breast carcinoma.
