On the basis of these findings combined with serum anti-sulfatide IgM positivity, anti-sulfatide antibody-related GBS was considered, and treatment with low-dose prednisolone (1 mg/kg/d) led to symptom improvement.<h4>Conclusions</h4>Anti-sulfatide antibody-associated GBS is associated with small fiber peripheral neuropathy. The gene discussed is CD40LG; the disease is Guillain-Barre syndrome.
