Mining an existing single‐nucleus RNA sequencing dataset of post mortem human entorhinal cortex, middle temporal gyrus, putamen, and subventricular zone from cases with no known neurological disease, we found that neurons – in particular, excitatory neurons – and microglia were among the highest ANXA11‐expressing cells in the CNS (Figure 5A‐C).42 The gene discussed is ANXA11; the disease is nervous system disorder.
