NINJ1 and triple-A syndrome: Macrophage infiltration plays a critical role in the pathogenesis of AAA, contributing to the production of pro‐inflammatory cytokines, proteolytic enzymes, and oxidation‐derived free radicals, which exacerbate inflammation and aortic wall damage.[13] In this study, we observed that macrophage NINJ1 deficiency suppressed macrophage infiltration in the aortic wall of a murine AAA model.
