MTOR and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma: In esophageal squamous cell carcinoma cells, it has been demonstrated that ROS-related mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) inhibition is augmented by treatment with the isothiocyanate sulforaphane (produced from cruciferous vegetables), leading to disturbance in the glutathione (GSH)/ oxidized GSH (GSSG) balance.
