VEGFA and preeclampsia: After logistic regression analysis on VEGF genotype and clinical parameters such as age, maternal body mass index (BMI), and neonatal birth weight, the risk of preeclampsia was 2.1 times higher in pregnant women with CT genotype compared to CC genotype (adjusted OR, 2.1; 95% CI, 0.9–4.5, p value −0.057).
