CD44 and infection: Naïve (CD62L+CD44-) CD8+ T cells were isolated from OT-1 transgenic mice in which the T cells express the ovalbumin (OVA) peptide SIINFEKL-specific TCR and adoptively transferred into the wild-type (WT) recipient mice followed by infection with Listeria monocytogenes (LM) expressing OVA (LM-OVA) for 7 days.
