Ferulic acid inhibited the activation of microglia and significantly decreased the contents of IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α in the prefrontal cortex of the CUMS-induced depression mouse model by inhibiting the NLRP3/caspase-1/NF-κB pathway (Liu et al., 2017c).
