The role of FAM83A is ambiguous in cervical cancer, with one study showing a tumor‐suppressive role that involves regulation of integrins [30], whereas others reporting an oncogenic function mediated via PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway, epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT) and Wnt signaling pathway [31, 32].
