While high CEA level ( ≥ 4.39 μg/L) (HR = 1.909, 95% CI 1.181–3.084, p = 0.008) and high AFP level ( ≥ 6.56 μg/L) (HR = 1.770, 95% CI 1.029–3.044, p = 0.039) were identified as independent prognostic factors for poor overall survival in CRC patients in the training set (Table 2). This evidence concerns the gene CEACAM5 and colorectal carcinoma.
