TEK and isolated hemihyperplasia: Adoptive transfer of CD34+ cells pre-treated with either an anti-TIE-2 antibody or with siRNA targeted to angiopoietin-2 abolished IFNγ expression (and development of IH (14)) without influencing the recruitment of the adoptively transferred cells and was corroborated by in vitro data showing that angiopoietin-2 was a vital intermediate in the thrombin-induced upregulation of IFNγ.
