SLC16A1 and cholangiocarcinoma: Although our research data highlights the critical role of SLC16A1 in CCA, specifically revealing that abnormal expression of SLC16A1 is not only closely related to the malignancy of tumor cells but may also increase their chemoresistance, there are some limitations in our study: 1) The bioinformatics analysis methods and the number of samples used were limited; 2) There was an insufficient number of clinical samples; 3) The study did not delve deeply enough into the underlying signaling mechanisms of SLC16A1 in CCA.
