In the study of drug resistance in pancreatic cancer, PRMT3 enhances chemotherapy resistance in pancreatic cancer by methylating the RNA recognition motif of heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleic acid protein 1, thereby increasing the expression of G-member 2 of the ATP-binding cassette subfamily (Hsu et al., 2018). Here, PRMT3 is linked to familial pancreatic carcinoma.
