To elucidate the CD248-harboring CAFs activated M2-polarized macrophages-mediated facilitation of NSCLC invasion and migration via inducing NSCLC EMT, the NSCLC cell lines A549 and NCI-H460 were co-cultured with the CM derived from CAFs-sh-CON, CAFs-sh-CD248, or CAFs-CD248OE treated THP-1 cells, then we examined changes of EMT phenotype by measuring the protein expression of E-cadherin, N-cadherin, vimentin, Smad2/3, p-Smad2/3 and EMT-related transcription factors TWIST. The gene discussed is CD248; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
