To determine whether RTA402 enhances antitumour immunity in NPC, we first evaluated the release of DAMPs in NPC cells and found that combined treatment with RTA402 and docetaxel significantly decreased the release of HMGB1 from the nucleus into the cytoplasm, increased the cell surface expression of calreticulin (Supplementary Fig. 7g, h), and increased the concentrations of IL-1α, IL-6 and CXCL10 in the supernatant (Supplementary Fig. 7i). This evidence concerns the gene CALR and nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
