PJA1 conferred docetaxel resistance on NPC cells by ubiquitinating and degrading mitochondrial protein PGAM5, further increasing the phosphorylation of DRP1 and decreasing the production of mROS, in turn leading to a suppressive effect on GSDME-mediated pyroptosis and antitumour immunity. This evidence concerns the gene PGAM5 and nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
