Using the co-expression patterns of TXNIP and related genes to evaluated the OS, higher OS was observed in AML patients with low expression of both TXNIP and NLRP3, and low expression of TXNIP and CASP1 compared to those with high expression of either gene or both genes (1-year OS: TXNIPlowNLRP3low vs. TXNIPhighNLRP3high vs. TXNIPhigh or NLRP3high, 77% vs. 53% vs. 45%, P = 0.001; TXNIPlowCASP1low vs. TXNIPhighCASP1high vs. TXNIPhigh or CASP1high, 82% vs. 55% vs. 37%, P = 0.001; Figure 3A). The gene discussed is CASP1; the disease is acute myeloid leukemia.
