We found that AML patients with low expression of both TXNIP and NLRP3 had better OS in comparison with those with high expression of both genes or high expression of either gene alone in GSE12417 database (1-year OS: TXNIPlowNLRP3low vs. TXNIPhighNLRP3high vs. TXNIPhigh or NLRP3high, 91% vs. 48% vs. 50%, P = 0.005, Figure 2A). The gene discussed is TXNIP; the disease is acute myeloid leukemia.
