While ASPM (a non-canonical RBP) expression remains constant between PSC and CCA, one isoform of FANCD2 (a non-canonical RBP) shows an increase in expression from PSC to CCA in the body fluids, suggesting that FANCD2 could be a candidate biomarker for the surge of CCA in PSC patients. Here, ASPM is linked to cholangiocarcinoma.
