Notably, known diabetes [31 (41.3%) vs. 11 (11.5%), P < 0.001], insulin usage [7 (9.3%) vs. 0 (0.0%), P = 0.008], and biguanides usage [7 (9.3%) vs. 1 (1.0%), P = 0.029] were more frequent in AMI patients with hyperglycemia than in those without hyperglycemia.
