Nevertheless, we do not find any difference between the activated and total form of the studied MAPKs, i.e. SAPK/JNK, ERK1/2, and p38 (Fig. 6c) in the PRMT2KO cells compared to WT AML cells, suggesting that PRMT2 has little to no role to play in these pathways upon LPS stress. The gene discussed is MAPK9; the disease is acute myeloid leukemia.
