Bulk RNA-Seq data showed genes (Tlr1, Il15ra, Edn1) and pathways were upregulated in FH amygdala compared to MH amygdala that are associated with the immune system (Supplemental Fig. 9B-D, Supplemental Fig. 11B), while oxytocin treatment also decreased pathways associated with detoxification of reactive oxygen species and programmed cell death in FH amygdala (Supplemental Fig. 11C). This evidence concerns the gene OXT and familial hyperaldosteronism.
