In a study on the role of MAGE family in ovarian cancer, the researchers examined multiple MAGE family antigen genes (MAGE‐A1, MAGE‐A3, MAGE‐A4, MAGE‐A10, and MAGE‐C1) and found that 78% of epithelial ovarian cancer expressed at least one MAGE antigen. This evidence concerns the gene MAGEA3 and ovarian carcinoma.
