A clinical study conducted in Japan has revealed that among patients with EGFR mutation-positive NSCLC treated with osimertinib, the incidence of ILD was 6.8%, with a mortality rate of 0.8%, and a median onset time of 63 days (ranging from 5 to 410 days) after treatment initiation (Gemma et al., 2020). This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and interstitial lung disease.
