Previously, kallistatin levels positively correlated with hsCRP, tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), and carotid intima-media thickness in both polycystic ovary syndrome and control groups, but did not show correlations with fasting blood glucose, 2 h glucose values during an oral glucose tolerance test, or HbA1c [22]. Here, TNF is linked to polycystic ovary syndrome.
