Further colocalization analysis revealed that five of the 13 proteins exhibited strong evidence of colocalization with their respective target traits (PP.H4 > 0.8), especially FGF5, which demonstrated significant colocalization with CKD, eGFRcrea, eGFRcys, and BUN, reinforcing its potential as a therapeutic target for CKD. This evidence concerns the gene FGF5 and chronic kidney disease.
