miRNAs such as miR-34a, miR-125b, and miR-504, which are involved in p53 regulation [84,87,108], miR-203, miR-130b, and miR-944, which influence p63 expression or activity [142,145,148], and miRNAs such as miR-21 and miR-498 that directly target PTEN are frequently upregulated in various cancers such as triple-negative breast cancer and colorectal carcinoma [155,168]. This evidence concerns the gene PTEN and triple-negative breast carcinoma.
