In a recent Korean retrospective, nonrandomized interventional cohort study in patients with T2DM classified as NAFLD, SGLT2 inhibitors, thiazolidinediones, and DPP-4 inhibitors, each combined with metformin, have been associated with a clinical regression of NAFLD, when compared with the combination metformin- sulfonylureas [263]. Here, DPP4 is linked to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
