In another study, the oral administration of phloretin in a mouse model of allergic contact dermatitis induced by 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene (DNCB) allowed the reduction in pro-inflammatory cytokine levels including interleukin-4 (IL-4), IL-6, interleukin-17A (IL-17A), interferon gamma (IFN-γ), and thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP) [37]. This evidence concerns the gene IL17A and allergic contact dermatitis.
