Genetic alterations in genes such as BRCA1, BRCA2, TP53, androgen and Vitamin D receptors, HPC1, HPC2, HPCX, CAPB, MLH1, MSH2 and MSH6, CHEK2, PMS2, HOXB13, ATM, and TMPRSS2-ERG and TMPRSS2-ETV1/4 fusions, have been associated to prostate cancer [2,4,5,6,7,8,9]. This evidence concerns the gene TMPRSS2 and prostate carcinoma.
