Another study conducted by Reichel et al. [60] found the role of Ccl2 and Ccl3 with neutrophil recruitment and postulated that platelet-activating factor (PAF) and leukotriene B-4 (LTB4) overexpression was a mechanism by which CCL2 and CCL3 recruited leukocytes, particularly neutrophils in SCD mice.
