Given that PARPi (particularly the FDA-approved Olaparib, Rucaparib, Niraparib and Talazoparib) limit auto PARylation and PARP1 release from the site of damage, hindering with the catalytic cycle of PARP128–30, we hypothesized that PARPi might synergize with SmD2 depletion to restrict HCC growth. The gene discussed is PARP1; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
