Males had a higher frequency of mutations in genes of the spliceosome complex (SF3B1, SRSF2, U2AF1 or ZRSR2) (19.1% vs. 5.7% in females; P = 0.002) and the nine myelodysplasia-related genes [6] (31.6% vs. 17.9% in females; P = 0.015). Here, ZRSR2 is linked to Myelodysplasia.
