These experiments have revealed that Rab11a‐exosomes have unique activities in physiology and disease, for example, promoting growth in the colorectal cancer (CRC) HCT116 cell line via a membrane‐bound form of amphiregulin (AREG), the ligand for the EGF receptor (EGFR, otherwise known as human EGFR‐related 1, HER1) ligand (Marie et al., 2023).
