The study consisting of 105 osteosarcoma patients demonstrates a positive correlation between the expression levels of the cancer-related transcription factor Runx2 and osteopontin (OPN) in 55 patients and a negative correlation in 50 patients [12]. This suggests that as the expression of Runx2 increases, so does the expression of OPN, indicating a potential regulatory relationship between these two biomarkers in osteosarcoma.
