Those variables that were significant in this model following adjustment for covariates (P < 0.05) were considered independently associated with ARDS severity, and included TM9SF1 levels, age, D-dimer, and CRP levels, with respective ORs of 2.31 (95% CI = 1.12–4.67, P = 0.017), 1.07 (95% CI = 1.02–1.11, P = 0.024), 1.48 (95% CI = 1.31–2.05, P = 0.018), and 1.02 (95% CI = 1.01–1.05, P = 0.035). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and acute respiratory distress syndrome.
