Experimental autoimmune uveoretinitis (EAU), is an organ-specific animal model of human noninfectious uveitis, is able to be developed in various rodent strains by immunization with retinal autoantigens, such as interphotoreceptor retinoid-binding protein (IRBP), or T-cell epitope peptides in complete Freund’s adjuvant (CFA) (20).
