BRAF and cancer: BRAFV600E occurred more frequently in cancer tissues than benign nodules (92/124, 74.19% vs. 10/58, 17.24%, p < 0.0001), whereas BRAF mutations at other loci (such as the Raf-like Ras-binding domain) were detected primarily in benign nodules (10/58, 17.24% vs. 1/124, 0.81%, p < 0.0001).
