Clinical relevance of DUSP6 in HER2+ breast cancers among the four candidate phosphatases differentially regulated at DTP-DTEP transition, together with the feasibility of DUSP6 targeting by small molecules (Kong et al, 2023; Korotchenko et al, 2014; Molina et al, 2009; Vainonen et al, 2021; Zandi et al, 2022), motivated us to select DUSP6 as the phosphatase to be focused in this study. This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and breast cancer.
