RTN4R and breast carcinoma: NGR1 was also able to promote the accumulation of Fe2+ and oxidative damage in breast cancer cells by regulating RUNX2 and then down-regulating the expression level of GPX4, FIH1 and up-regulating the expression level of ferroptosis-related proteins such as COX2, ACSL4, PTGS2 and NOX1, which eventually led to the ferroptosis of breast cancer cells.
