In this study, we proposed that the ability of Cls to block ROS, IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, NF-κB, and caspase-3 as well as increase pErk-1, NO, PECAM-1, and PPAR-γ levels partly explains why it protects the stomach against ethanol-induced ulcer. This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and ulcer disease.
