We suggest that patients with IMNM associated with anti-SRP antibodies should be intensively observed and routinely examined for lung conditions, using respiratory function tests or computed tomography, as well as for distinguishing interstitial lung disease from respiratory muscle weakness. Disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs, especially methotrexate and cyclophosphamide, should be used carefully to avoid drug-induced pneumonitis [18]. This evidence concerns the gene UCN2 and pneumonitis.
