Examination of Nkg7 expression using a GFP reporter mouse revealed that while it is primarily expressed in NK and NKT cells in the naïve state, its expression by CD4+ T cells increased rapidly during experimental VL, peaking at day 28 post-infection (p.i.)in both spleen and liver (Ng et al., 2020), indicating a possible functional role of Nkg7 in these cells. Here, CD4 is linked to infection.
