These data are in accordance with our previous findings [24], summarized as follows: High GFAP was associated with GBM, low GFAP and high FABP4 were associated with meningiomas grade 1 and 2 and low GFAP and low FABP4 were associated with astrocytomas grade 2 and 3 (mutant IDH, no 1p19q co-deletion) and oligodendrogliomas grade 2 and 3 (mutant IDH with 1p19q co-deletion). This evidence concerns the gene FABP4 and astrocytoma (excluding glioblastoma).
