Of these, three protein associations with risk of prostate cancer overall were replicated in men of African ancestry: MSMB [OROverall = 0.85, 95% CI: 0.80–0.91], MMP7 [OROverall = 0.83, 95% CI: 0.73–0.95], and ISLR2 [OROverall = 0.85, 95% CI: 0.73–0.99] (Fig. 3, Table 1). This evidence concerns the gene MSMB and prostate carcinoma.
